The O'Brien's Job Blog
Hey guys,
We wanted to do a few blogs showing the progress of some of our jobs. This will help future clients understand better what to expect and our process.
The project for the O’Brien’s in Land O Lakes (Angeline) was successfully moved through the design and proposal phases. They initially reached out to us in October. They were still in the information gathering phase and considering different ideas at this point. They considered doing a screen room, fire pit, concrete and pavers.
After doing some research and thinking about things for a few months. They reached back out with a decision to just do pavers. The thinking was, let’s start with this and then if they want to add a screen or fire pit later.
In our second on site meeting in February, I got additional measurements and photos. Here are the before photos:

We then worked up a proposal and some 2D sketches. Here is what we came up with:

They felt comfortable after seeing the sketch and proposal and decided to move forward. We were very happy they choose us and wanted us to be there outdoor oasis partner.
Below is a synthesis of the project details:
- Milestones Reached: The deposit was secured on Wednesday, 2-25, and the client was been sent the official receipt and Welcome Guide
- Material Status: Pavers (Heritage White Tan Charcoal) were ordered shortly after
- Installation Schedule: our crew was scheduled to be on-site the Friday after at 8:00 AM.
Scope of Work & Final Measurements
The project scope shifted after the initial October consultation, with the client deciding against the benches and fire pits to focus on the pavers and sealing.
- Total Paver Area: 476 sq. ft. (280 sq. ft. for the extension and 196 sq. ft. for the existing patio).
- Sealing: The project includes cleaning and sealing for the entire area.
- Labor Adjustment: We applied a credit to the labor charge as a result of their decision to reduce the extension from 4 ft to 2 ft in certain sections.
Timeline Highlights (The Oasis Journey)
This project followed the standard 8-step process outlined in the sources
- Initial Contact (Oct): Identified as a Facebook lead.
- On Site Consultation (OSC)/Proposal (Oct–Jan): Multiple follow-ups as the client researched “decorative concrete” before returning to pavers.
- Design (Feb): Sent a 2D drawing, which the client called “perfect
- Closing (Feb): Proposal sent on 2-9, approved on 2-16, and deposit received on 2-25.
- Construction (Immediate): Scheduling for 2-27.
After Photos
Here’s how it came out

The O’Brien’s were very happy with how the project turned out, writing us this 5 star review:
“They were always so helpful with everything! Love the new patio, beautifully done!”
We look forward to more paver projects like this and possibly adding a screen room or fire pit for them in the future.
