• Check with your HOA and/or local authorities before installing a fire pit
• Keeping the fire pit lower helps with heat and gives a nice place to rest your feet. About 18 to 20 inches is the ideal height
• You’ll need about 5 to 7 feet around the edge for chairs and movement around the fire pit. 
• It is recommended to keep fire pits at least 10 feet from your house
• Pavers around your fire pit adds a layer of protection and defines the space aesthetically.
